C.B. Paul Science Quiz

Late January


This annual science quiz aims to provide a platform for students to apply textbook knowledge in explaining daily phenomena, and hence enabling them to exercise analytical and critical thinking skills. Using the competition as a background, students will be able to meet and interact with like-minded students from other schools and build up useful contacts with each other.

The competition consists of 2 rounds: The Preliminary and the Final. There will also be practical rounds. The best four teams from the Preliminary Round will proceed on to the Final, and stand to win attractive prizes!

Questions will be based on the six disciplines of Astronomy, Biology, Chemistry, Information Technology, Mathematics and Physics. The language medium will be English.

Little Professor

This is a science research programme which consists of 4 hands-on sessions on practical, theoretical knowledge, report writing and poster presentation skills to be held on 4 separate Wednesday afternoons. It is specially tailored for high ability Primary 5/6 (Grade 5/6) students who are tenacious and research oriented. We hope to ignite the passion for research work through investigative, inquiry-based and collaborative opportunity.

Summer Camp

This whole day outdoor science camp cum competition consists of a series of competitive experiential activities such as the Amazing Race, Survival Telematch and Outdoor Labs that are involved science and math concepts. It is specially tailored for Primary 5 and 6 students who enjoy learning science in the outdoor setting. The camp aims to ignite the passion for science through these specially designed activities and crafted worksheets, and to develop leadership skills and team spirit among the members.
